Beltane & One Year Anniversary Gathering

Join us May 17th at 6pm to celebrate the coming of summer and the birth of our beloved shop.

Beltane is an ancient Celtic fire festival marking the beginning of Summer and the return of light, the blooming flowers, and the promise of sustenance. Traditionally, this holiday is celebrated on or near to the 1st of May. This is a time to gather around defensive firelight and wait out the night with loved ones, sharing songs and stories.

We would like to carry some of the heart of this holiday into our one year anniversary. This time last year, we had just finished the construction of our apothecary, and our hearts were warmed by the great community support we received. Join us for buttery layer cake (which is included in your ticket), and allow Madrone and I to regale you with tales of the Hawthorn tree, also known as Maythorn, a most revered fairy tree.

Later in the night, we shall learn some traditional songs and ballads from our dear friend Ell. Songbooks will be provided, and while all are very much encouraged to sing, you are also welcome to simply sit in good company and listen. We encourage guests to view singing as an act of togetherness, and less so as a performance. All are welcome, join us!

Be sure to secure your ticket for this one early, as we have limited space due to the nature of the event.

Before our festivities later in the evening, we will be hosting a tintype pop-up with Alchemy Tintype Studio from 12-5pm.

A tintype is truly an heirloom, printed in silver on a sheet of tin. Digital is temporary, the physical is enduring, and a tintype even more so than an image printed on paper. The nature of this type of portraiture is haunting and timeless, a worthy investment. Tickets are not required during this day time pop-up, schedule your portrait by clicking here!

We encourage you to come with flowers in your hair, and a song in your heart. There may be time later in the evening for song sharing if you please.

Ticket Includes:

+ a slice or two of layer cake or GF Cake
+ songbook & participation in all activities
