    Oregon Grape

Antimicrobial (fights bacteria, fungi, and viruses), anti-inflammatory, boosts white blood cell activity.Active Compounds: Berberine, berbamine, and other alkaloids.

Immune Benefits: Berberine has strong antimicrobial properties, helping the body fight bacterial, fungal, and viral infections. It also has anti-inflammatory effects, which can help reduce the overall burden of illness on the body and support faster recovery.

    Echinacea

Echinacea: Stimulates immune cell production and activity, enhances inflammatory response, reduces cold and respiratory symptoms.

Active Compounds: Alkamides, glycoproteins, polysaccharides, and caffeic acid derivatives.

Immune Benefits: Echinacea stimulates the immune system by increasing the production and activity of white blood cells, which are crucial for fighting infections. It also enhances the body's inflammatory response to infections, helping to clear pathogens more efficiently. Echinacea is widely used to reduce the duration and severity of colds and other respiratory infections.

    Elderflower

Elderflower: Antiviral, reduces respiratory symptoms, anti-inflammatory.

Active Compounds: Flavonoids, quercetin, and phenolic acids.

Immune Benefits: Elderflower has antiviral properties that help prevent and combat viral infections. Its anti-inflammatory properties reduce symptoms like congestion, runny nose, and sore throat, which are common in respiratory illnesses. This relief can help the immune system focus on fighting the infection rather than managing symptoms.

    Elderberry

Elderberry: Antiviral, boosts cytokine production, rich in antioxidants, reduces flu severity and duration.

Active Compounds: Anthocyanins, vitamins A, B, and C, and antioxidants.

Immune Benefits: Elderberry is known for its strong antiviral properties, particularly against influenza viruses. It enhances the immune response by increasing the production of cytokines, which help regulate immune responses. The high antioxidant content also helps protect cells from damage, supporting overall immune health and aiding in quicker recovery from illnesses.

    Ginger

Ginger: Anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, soothes respiratory symptoms.

Active Compounds: Gingerol, shogaol, and zingerone.

Immune Benefits: Ginger has potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. It helps boost the immune system by reducing inflammation, which can otherwise hinder the body's ability to fight infections. Ginger also has antimicrobial properties that can help combat various pathogens and soothes symptoms like sore throat and congestion, providing symptomatic relief during illness.

    Summary

Together, these plants and herbs can provide a comprehensive boost to the immune system, helping the body to fend off infections more effectively and recover more rapidly when illness occurs.
