These tops can be decocted by simmering for 20 minutes and taken as a nervine tea. Consider grinding the herb to release the milky substance.
Preserving this milks in alcohol, however, is a common favorite during these times. While fresh is best for this, the dried oat tops also make a lovely tincture. Be sure to blend your oat tops to open the hulls and release the milky medicine!
