"TOGETHER ON EARTH is an experiment that attempts to revive and re-engage the oldest visual art—the carvings and paintings of the Paleolithic—with the image-making techniques of hand embroidery. Selected from a range of petroglyph sites and painted caves across Eurasia, I sought to collect a palette of subjects and shapes, with which interesting, ancient scenes could be assembled and then embroidered. Each of these designs is an individual sticker on water-soluble embroidery paper, meant to be applied to fabric of your choice, whether garments of clothing, home textiles like curtains or pillowcases, a decorative embroidery hoop for wall hanging, or, if you’d like, made into a wall quilt (see the included tutorial)."
